Johnny Depp Top Forbes' Highest Paid Actors in 2010

Leonardo DiCaprio topped it for the first time, flying past last year's winner, Johnny Depp. DiCaprio, 36, landed huge paydays for blockbusters Inception and Shutter Island, reportedly earning over $50 million for the former thanks to a contract guaranteeing him a percentage of the profits. It brought Forbes' grand total of the actor's earnings to $77 million between May 2010 and May 2011.

His earnings last year were approximately $75 million, dropped to number two with $50 million. He was trailed by comedian, actor, singer, producer Adam Sandler. The 44-year-old funnyman earned an estimated $40 million last year.

Will Smith and Tom Hanks rounded out the top five with $36 million and $35 million, respectively.On the actresses list, which was released last month, Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker tied for first, both earning $30 million.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon also tied for a close spot behind Jolie, 36, and Parker, 46, earning $28 million each. And even though her career has been in a downswing, Julia Roberts came in fifth with $20 million thanks to her mega-hit Eat, Pray, Love.

In evidence that there's still a huge divide between men and women in Hollywood, the highest-earning actresses raked in less than half of DiCaprio's pay.Each year, Forbes compiles data from agents, lawyers, producers and other industry insiders to estimate actors' earnings.

We are excited to see what newly wed Reese Witherspoon will rock to accept her Generation award. From Blake Lively to Emma Watson, Cameron Diaz, Kristen Stewart, Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester, it promises to be a fashinable night in Los Angeles.

2011 People's Choice Awards red carpet fashion preview: red carpet fashion and style, best dressed, worst dressed and fashion trends

The 2011 red carpet fashion season kicks off with the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, January 5. From who's wearing whom and what, to who will rock and bomb on the red carpet, red carpet fashion fans are looking forward to this year's red carpet trends, highs and lows.

Blake Lively : loves New York

Blake Lively adores living in New York and claims she is as smitten with the US city than she could ever be with a boyfriend.
Blake Lively thinks New York "romances" as well as men do.

Blake said: "New York is so romantic. Rather than planning a night I just get lost in the city. The city romances me, just as much as any man could!"
'Gossip Girl' actress - who is dating her co-star Penn Badgley - loves spending time in the American city, and admits her feelings for the area rival her relationships with boyfriends.

Blake and Penn have been dating since late 2007, but she hates discussing her private life and tries hard to keep their relationship as secret as possible.

She explained: "If I were doing another job - like if I were CEO at a big company - I wouldn't bring my personal life to the table, right? You separate the two. You have got to treat this like any other job. If you are on the red carpet and talk about your life, you are inviting people in."

She understands that interest into her life helps keep the US teen drama series popular with fans, even though she dislikes being the centre of attention.

She explained: "Our show feeds off buzz and gossip. I find photo shoots quite hard because it's just you being you. That's always really hard for me because by nature I'm very shy."
