Jennifer Hudson :: In the hospital

Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson was discharged from hospital after she was admitted due to severe abdominal pain.

The 29-year-old, who was rushed to the emergency care unit after she complained of sudden stomach pain post her performance on ''Good Morning America'', was discharged after being treated for food poisoning, reported AceShowbiz.
"Jennifer Hudson went to the hospital due to severe abdominal pains. She was treated for food poisoning and released," explained Hudson''s representative.
The Season 3 finalist of ''American Idol'' was supposed to make another appearance for the promotion of her upcoming album ''I Remember Me'' but the event got cancelled due to her illness.
Besides Hudson, songstress Selena Gomez was also hospitalised this week after she complained of nausea and severe headache.

Jennifer Hudson ::broke down in tears

"American Idol " Singer Jennifer Hudson broke down in tears tonight as she recalled her murdered mother as ‘the perfect mother in every way’. She wept as she told how her faith helped her get through the murders of her mother Darnell, brother Jason and seven-year-old nephew Julian. ‘No matter what, He’s always there and that’s the thing that keeps me,’ she told ABC TV’s 20/20. ‘And I feel that that’s the greatest gift.
‘I could not and would not be sitting her talking to you right now, this happy, talking to you without Him. It’s my joy.’ Hudson’s family were brutally murdered in 2008. Her brother-in-law William Balfour was charged with the crime.
But she also spoke lovingly of her joy in her 19-month-old baby son David Jr, who she says weighs himself every morning just like his mother does, and also her music which she calls her ‘home’. ‘I have the greatest sadness to be sad over – but then look at the joy I have, too,’ she smiled.

Jennifer Hudson Breaks Her Silence About Family Murders "surreal"

Jennifer Hudson broke her silence and spoke publicly about the 2008 murder of her mother, brother and Nephew for the first time.

On last night's episode of VH1's "Behind the Music,"Jennifer Hudson revealed how she handled the emotional pain of the murders. Jennifer said, "I'd pray when I get up in the morning, and pray before I lay down at night," Hudson said of how she's managed to stay strong. "If I didn't, I'd wake up depressed."
The one-time "American Idol" contestant, who went on to win an Academy Award three years ago for a supporting role in her feature debut "Dreamgirls," said the 2008 triple-slaying was "surreal."
The bodies of Hudson's 57-year-old mother Darnell Donerson and 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson were discovered inside the home where Hudson grew up in Chicago. Her 7-year-old nephew Julian King was later found dead in a vehicle.
All three had been shot. William Balfour, the estranged husband of Hudson's sister Julia, has been charged with the murders.


Not long after the murder, Hudson got engaged to David Otunga which whom she had a son last August. Her debut self-titled album went on to win a Grammy award.
