Kill Zombies As Buffy, Machete, Freddy Krueger In George Romero-Inspired ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops’ Expansion

Posted: 27 Apr 2011 05:28 PM PDT

A very special added bonus is set to be released with the new Call of Duty: Black Ops expansion pack, called Escalation.

One of the maps that will come with the expansion is called "Call of the Dead" and is inspired by the man who's pretty much single-handedly responsible for the zombie sub-genre, George A. Romero, who's also part of the game itself. In it you'll be able to take on an army of the undead, which Call of Duty has become known for in their games and extra DLC packs, but it's WHO you get to play as that makes this particular expansion so amusing.

You can see a very grindhouse-inspired trailer for the Black Ops expansion by clicking on over to the other side now!

The Call of the Dead map will allow players to kill zombies as Sarah Michelle Gellar in her Buffy the Vampire Slayer costume, Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn), Robert Englund (best known for playing Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies), and Michael Rooker (Slither, The Walking Dead). Arnold Schwarzenegger Set To Rejoin ‘Terminator’ Franchise With ‘Fast And Furious’ Director Justin Lin

Posted: 27 Apr 2011 01:48 PM PDT

Since Arnold Schwarzenegger's run as governor of California came to a close, he's been looking at various options for his official re-entrance into the acting game. Yes, he did make a cameo in The Expendables, but there were many restrictions to what he could do. Now the former biggest action star in the universe is free to jump back in wherever his soon-to-be 64-year-old body will allow him.

Whispers about what his next move would be swirled, with numerous projects as possible choices for Schwarzenegger were mentioned, including one rumor that he may be finally re-teaming with James Cameron and Tom Arnold for True Lies 2. Now it appears he might just be jumping back into his most famous of roles...as a Terminator.

It's being reported that Schwarzenegger is now attached as the star in a "rights package" for the Terminator franchise, which is being shopped around as you read this with places like Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, CBS Films, and Lionsgate Entertainment all interested. [...]

TV Review: ‘Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming, The Kingsroad’

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones
Episode 1 (Winter is Coming) & 2 (The Kingsroad)
Directed by: Timothy Van Patten
Written by: David Beinoff and D.B. Weiss adapted from George R.R. Martin
Starring: Mark Addy, Alfie Allen, Sean Bean, Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Michelle Fairley, Aidan Gillen, Jack Gleeson, Iain Glen, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Issac Hempstead-Wright, Harry Lloyd, Richard Madden, Rory McCann, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams

I've got a confession to make.

I haven't read a single book in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Ice series.

Unlike last year's big literature-to-television adaptation, Walking Dead (of which I've read every issue), I wanted to go into Game of Thrones fresh, without any prior knowledge or expectations of the series. I wanted to see how a 694-page book would translate over to HBO. I've seen the big-screen adaptations of fan-favorite fantasy novels like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, but I was interested in seeing how showrunners David Deinoff and D.B. Weiss would handle Martin's material on a week-to-week basis without confusing the hell out of everyone.

So far, they've done an outstanding job [...]

Must Watch: The Onion Interviews 5-Year-Old Writer Of ‘Fast Five’

Posted: 27 Apr 2011 12:13 PM PDT

A new video from The Onion has been spreading around the 'net like wildfire the past couple of days, and for good reason.

The video plays as a parody of The Today Show, called Today Now!, where the two hosts interview the screenwriter behind the latest installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise, Fast Five. The catch is that the writer, Chris Morgan, is only 5 years old, making for quite the hilarious little clip.

Morgan shares his approach to writing the script and how he wanted to see it come to life, as well as if we'll see any sequels and just how many are planned. He even touches on his work on the Angelina Jolie flick, Wanted!

You can see the video now by heading on below. [...]

The GoD List: Comics for April 28, 2011

Posted: 27 Apr 2011 09:07 AM PDT

Each week, MK2Fac3 and Henchman21 read a lot of comics. Seriously, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn't? So, let's take a look into the depths of their pull list, grab some issues and we'll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of April 28, 2011. Single issues and trades, they're all here.

ISSUES

batman incorporated 5

Batman, Incorporated #5 (DC Comics - $2.99): I know I say this a lot, but every week that Batman, Incorporated comes out is a week that I will list Batman, Incorporated as my top pick of the week. It's an addiction, truly it is. I've read Grant Morrison's Batman run multiple times, and the new addition keeps me salivating for more clues on the future for The Dark Knight. Each issue, is a romp through camp, complexity, and insanity, while giving nods to all eras of The Caped Crusader by showing us the Batmen of all nations. Yannick Paquette returns to the title to show us a tale of the other British Batman, and I could not be more excited. Each issue is a blast, and each issue is my favorite issue of the series. Yes, if you're wondering, I'm both a Morrison and Batman fanboy. And this book makes me proud to be one [...]
