Super Catchy Tune: Jay-Z and Kanye West's 'Otis'

This week, Jay-Z and Kanye West unleashed their track "Otis" on the internet in anticipation of their new collaboration album,Watch the Throne, which reportedly hits the web August 1 and stores August 5.

"Otis" is not the first single off the forthcoming album, nor is it clear whether any of the songs will find official release as singles. The Los Angeles Times reports that Jay-Z wants to avoid a traditional album release—hence the timely leak.

While it's unclear how the approach will affect album sales, one thing is clear: People love "Otis." The song features a relentless sample of Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness" thumping beneath blitzkrieg verses like, "I made Jesus Walks, I'm never going to hell / Couture level flow, it's never going on sale /Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses / Sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive."

Check out the new track at Soundcloud. Other artists featured on Watch the Throne include Frank Ocean, Mr. Hudson, Curtis Mayfield and Beyoncé.
