Actress Kristen Bell and Anna Paquin have officially joined the cast of Scream 4. Shooting has already begun in Michigan and is set to be released next April 15th. The "True Blood" star broke the news yesterday and will join returning actors Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, as well as new characters played by Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Adam Brody in Wes Craven’s new Scream franchise.
Last month, Craven put a call out on Twitter for fans to suggest actors for cameo roles in the upcoming film. The franchise has a history of casting famous faces and although more than a decade has passed since "Scream 3," he made clear he intended to keep up the franchise's cameo tradition. "No janitor, doctor or tourist,"
"I think it's just perfect timing, the amount of time that has passed since the last one came out," said Panettiere. "For an audience that is so well-versed in 'Scream' [films] and in what happens and who becomes the killer, blah, blah, blah, it's trickier to throw them a curveball," she told "I think they've done a really cool job with the script. We've had a blast on it."
