Love package from Sophia

After my trauma this week, I was kind of down. However, sometimes it's the little things that can brighten your day...like the kind words from you lovely ladies, a visit at work from my boyfriend, a call from my sister. :)

I was so surprised to see a rather large package waiting for me today before work from the one and only Sophia! I love all the attention to detail in her packaging...so lovingly wrapped & all SO PINK AND SUPER KAWAII!

Retro Tag, Blog Award & Surprise gift!

The gorgeous Ms. Kate Gene's posted this on her recent blog and tagged all of her following readers!

** Retro Tag! **

1. Post a picture from your childhood (less than 13 yrs old).
2. Write about the picture.
3. Tag your friends and readers.

I actually found a few photos that brought back some really good memories:

Apple picking
Apple orchards - a Fall standard in Michigan. The apple trees in this orchard were so low to the ground! This is right before we ran into a huge dog that freaked me out. (I'm in the pink & older sis is in blue!)

Bikini buddies
My older sis & I having a blast in the kiddie pool! I love how we are rocking "side-tie" string bikinis!!! The nice thing about Michigan was the change of seasons.

Artsy Irene
I always LOVED "Art Castle" - a pottery painting place back in MI - always had a creative side! This particular visit was for my b-day party! I painted a silver cat on a pink pillow and followed with a glitter gloss coating. Things really don't change that much lol!

Sometimes I really miss being a kid - life was so worry-free, not a care in the world!

I was so surprised to see a random & unexpected package on my doorstep today! My Houston friend Le-Minh had sent me a very special love package from out of the blue! She claims it is a much belated b-day present (at this rate, it is more of an early b-day present than a belated one lol) but it was so sweet & thoughtful!!!

I love all the pink stuffing! Easter came early this year ;)

Love package 1

My heart melted when I saw the card (and even more when I read message inside!)

Adorable magnets!

Cute magnets

I'm actually kind of obsessed with stickers. These are super kawaii!

Daybeauty.com haul & Day off!

Enjoying a day off of work today before a 6-day stretch...

Sometimes it's hard to decide whether to dress up or just be comfy on 'off' days -- today I went for comfort! Just an old pair of soft lounge pants & my favorite Peanuts t-shirt from Urban Outfitters! (my sister nabbed it for me for only $5 since she knows I love Snoopy!)

Comfy outfit
hmmm...time for spring cleaning... :(

There is nothing better than lounging around w/ Darren, cooking up a big bubbling bowl of Beef Golden Curry, and watching the Olympics/playing videogames all day long. *happy sigh* Escaping the working world feels so good!

Review: Cellnique Skin Action Sebum Gel, Part I

I'm so excited! My Cellnique package is already HERE!!! I am so pleased, the shipping was so fast. I ordered from the site during their 20% off sale on January 18th and already, my package has been shipped halfway across the world to my door-step!

When I say package, I actually mean product. They sent me the lovely and much raved about Cellnique "Skin Action Sebum Gel." You can see other reviews by the lovely Eki here, Ms. Angela of sparklemidori.com here, and Singaporean blogger Xia Xue here.

Description on packaging: A gentle formula designed for comedogenic, oily and combination skin types to reduce both blackheads and whiteheads. This daily maintenance gel also reduces oil secretion, leaving the skin clean and clear.

Directions: Use 2 – 3 pumps and apply on oily or T-zone area with upwards and outwards circular movement. (I find that just one pump is enough to start out, especially since the Winter is more drying and oil production isn't as rampant! Also, my cheeks and nose tend to be the most congested, so those are the areas I focus on)

After cleansing with my usual Cetaphil face wash, I applied a tiny amount (small-pea-size) onto my finger tips and gently patted over my cheeks (heavy congested area - lots of little bumps and whiteheads) and nose (blackheads, whiteheads, enlarged pores). Initially, I felt nothing -- it was a bit sticky to the touch (not surprisingly, it being a serum), but nothing that stung. It also has a faint 'medicinal' smell, which was tolerable. After applying moisturizer (Olay's Night Regenerist moisturizing cream) I sat down to write this post.

...Suddenly my face feels a little tighter and cooler...not sure if it is pyschological or the real deal. They claim to see visible results in 10 days! Let's see if this works. Will update with face before/after in about 10 days!
