New York Twenty

This week was full of entertaining moments, long nights
really annoying people and fun surprises. So this time
you get 20 instead of 10, there was just so much
material.

Enjoy!

20 Things I've Learned In NY:

1. Brooklyn > Manhattan.

2. Liquor is really cheap at the Bedford Stop
 but not on Bedford Ave.

3. Just Salad will make you whatever you want,
once it falls into what they want to make you,
no exceptions.

4. Jeggings are apparently in?
I can't be apart of it.

5. An epic (Hanner) fall is completely
worth it compared to standing
in an Editors way.

6. People that you think aren't human,
apparently have a soul at
the end of the month.

7. Editing out means keeping
everything you think is
 kinda cute.

8. When one door of drama shuts,
another one must always open.

9. "If Luna doesn't do work, I don't do work."

10. Themed Friday's get way more
enthusiasm from the mailroom
than the closet.

11. People you work with will become
"family" as you eat breakfast, lunch
and dinner with them.

12. Sunday Brunch Day is
essential from now on.

13.Weekends are more entertaining
living in a hotel, even if you do nothing.

14. "If you have to cry,
go outside."

15. SoHo shopping beats 5th Ave.
shopping hands down.

16. Everyone talks shit,
get over it.

17. Two words: TEAM ALISON.

18. 90's music should be revived and sung
everyday to keep sane.

19. If you're going to snowboard or ski
make sure your gear is Chanel.

20. If it weren't for the last
minute, NOTHING would
ever be completed.

New York Ten

photos by Danielle Wallis of theramnyc

Ten things I've learned in NY:

1. Being polite or nice to a true New Yorker will make
he/she really, really uncomfortable, which it is hilarious
and therefore now my mission to irritate them to the fullest.

2. This seems to be a common trend,
"I'm not eating lunch but I'm going to take lunch anyway."

3. People who have interned for almost a year think that they
are editors-in-chief yet they are not receiving a salary.

4. Brooklyn (Williamsburg) and San Francisco have a lot in common,
and I dig it.

5. Pizza by the slice on the Lower East side is NOT a good time,
but Chinese food is epic in the LES.

6. New York has a shit ton of people from San Fran and you
will run into them at any point in the day, in any part of
the city.

7. Coffee Patron and Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee paired
 is a GREAT time.

8. The L train to Brooklyn is such a brat,
it has a new issue, EVERY weekend.

9. Express trains are a slice of heaven.

10. Don't trust anyone, there's always a scam in the air.

New York Ten

random photos thanks to Hanner Greenberg and Danielle Wallis

Ten things I've learned in New York:

1. A vegetarian quesadilla only costs $4.90
in the Time & Life cafĂ©.

2. Life is one big dress up party
(or at least a lot of my internship is).

3. Walgreens >  Duane Reade.

4. Wednesday is the new Saturday.

5. Closet Forts are the only way to stay
 sane on 12 hour days.

6. There are a lot of words I randomly
say that still sound like I have
 a Bahamian accent.

7. I can stay on my feet for
12 hours straight.

8. Desserts are half off on Fridays.

9. Apparently dating 40 years
olds is so in, with 24 year old
 NY girls.

10. I'm obssessed with
Mugler shoes and must own a pair.
