Inspired: Beyonce - Why don't you love me?

Hello beautifuls,
I'm a massive fan of Beyonce, I love her. I love her music, her style, her husband... pretty much everything she stands for? I think she's an amazing role model. So I was watching her new video for 'Why don't you love me' which is an amazing song btw, and her make up is just beautiful. Tanya over at pixi2woo has actually done a tutorial on this and did an amazing job. I thought I'd give it a shot - this isn't really a recreation because I actually have a very small amount of eyeshadows and the shades aren't exactly on, but you know... it's an inspired look. It's so pretty! But this was my attempt at make up inspired by the one sported in the video...

I thought I'd start with the face shots, obviously I am not half as near as gorgeous, nor do I look anything like Beyonce. And how much does this make up suit me? I'm not convinced!  Anyways, there's really not much on my face...

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 hours foundation
Rimmel Stay Matte powder
NYC Bronzer to contour, no blush

Elf Hypershine Gloss in Mauve

Now onto close ups of the eyes... again, this is just inspired some of the shades are a bit off but you know I did what I could with what I had :) The shade on the lower lashline is actually a much deeper navy than how it's showing up on the camera. This look is all about cut crease with bold liner and lashes.

Mix of Urban Decay Drink me Eat me and Sellout on lid
Mix of Urban Decay YDK and Twice Baked as cut crease
Sleek Storm palette, navy shade on lower lashline
Elf Cream Eyeliner in black
Benefit Bad Gal pencil liner on waterline
Lashes from Ebay

This look is definitely over the top, you certainly couldn't pop to your local Sainsburys without looking slightly crazy but hey... if you can rock it!

Inspired: Kim Kardashian

Hello loveys,
So yup, I haven't done an 'inspired' post in a while. I've had a photo of Kim K knocking around in my pictures folder for a while now, I saved it as soon as I saw it because I loved her make-up... which I usually do anyway. But I thought I definitely wanted to recreate it for a night out because it look really simple as well as beautiful. So this is just inspired, it's not an exact copy :)

Sorry about the second to last picture, I was trying to recreate the whole moment, lmao! And it made me giggle so I thought I'd put it on too. Basically... gold lid, cut(ish) dark brown crease, very bronzed up, signature Kim under the eye triangle, and very, very nude lips. I think I went a little too nude! But I think that could also be the flashback from the lipgloss. Sorry my poses are so off this post... I was a bit startled so it seems, lol. And the photo itself...

Hope you liked!

Inspired: Selena Gomez

hello lovelies,
today i did a bit of an inspired face of the day and thought i'd share it with you guys. a while ago i was browsing pictures and found one of the stunning selena gomez sporting a very natural face and eye with bright coral lips. i loved it and really wanted to re create it, i did change it a teeny bit though. here were my inspiration photo's...

i did find another photo of her laughing and zoomed in on her eyes, its a very light shimmery colour all over the lid and pretty much up to the brow... lined with khol liner bottom and top, with a lot of mascara. the coral lips have also been highlighted in the middle and looks a-mazing!

do you take inspiration from celeb make up looks? who's your favourite?

Inspired: Purple sky

hello cuppycakes,
last night i looked out of my window and the sky looked beautiful, it was all purple and navy. so what did i think? that would look gorgeous as eyeshadow - of course! ;) i needed to find a picture online of what i mean, im sure you all know but just for the sake of a pretty picture...

okay so this is what i came up with. and obvs not a very wearable day-to-day look, but you know... it's always fun to have a play around! maybe for a crazy party?

the purple is a lot brighter in reality, and the blue is much more a navy. stoooopid camera!

Inspired: Mermaid w/ Special guest!

Hola chicas!
I have no idea how, but I stumbled across this picture and I just instantly felt compelled to try and recreate it in an eyeshadow look :) Aha! My neice Chloe was round (she pratically lives here), and we're more like sisters. She's always asking me to do her make up so voila... I tried to do the look on her!

The tail is the main part that stood out to me really...

Chloe begged me to straighten her hair, but I love her curly hair! And refused :D I'm such a nice auntie!!

I adore the shimmer and metalicy-ness (yup, this is now a word) of this look!

UDPP
Sleek original palette, yellow
Urban decay jinx and homegrown
Urban decay half baked as highlight
Urban decay 24/7 liner in flipside
Boujours ultra curl mascara

What do you guys think? And please tell her that natural hair is the way to go! ;)

Inspired: Saint Patrick's Day

Hello lovelies :)
So... Saint Patrick's day is coming up... 17th March I do believe. I'm not a big celebrator of the occassion, but I know a lot of people that do go wild over it, lol. I don't have any Paddy day's parties to go to - but it inspired me to come up with some kind of lavish green/gold make up look, so here's the eye look I came up with...

I actually forgot to put any mascara on before I took these pics, so sorry about that!

I hope you all have a great Saint Patrick's day when it comes around :) Do you guys have any plans? Will you be sporting green??

Inspired: Pin up eye

Morning girls :)
I really love pin up style make up, I think there's something so sultry about it... but at the same time isn't too obvious. If you know what I mean? So yup, this is just my take on pin up eye make up :) Let me know what you think.

It's quite an easy look to wear all day, but good for a night out too (although I would darken up the crease a little). The main aspect of this is the feline flick - something that I really, really love!

Oh and I've just got back from my first ever driving lesson :O It went well, looking forward to the next one although it was a bit daunting lol. I didn't even stall once - which I thought I would so yay! Haha.

Inspired: Rock Chick

Hello girlies.
So the first 'inspired' look I did was peacock. This night I went for rock chick. As the title says... this is just inspired, it isn't as dramatic as proper rock chick make up stylie :) (mainly because I can't pull it off!) One of my friends has just moved into her own flat with her boyfriend so she ahd a little celebratory gathering on saturday night. I felt like something a bit different - although I wear eyeliner of some sort everyday... I only really wear it in small ammounts. Plus I think that that black rimmed eyes are really attractive... there's just something about them. Just me? Lol! So yeah... here goes.

This look is superrrrr simple for anyone to achieve and it really does suit most. If you have small eyes I wouldn't really recommend this though as black closes up the eye. If you are going to do this and you have small eyes, I'd suggest lining your waterline with a white or nude liner and then continue with the black underneath.

I kept the face make up really simple and half way dewy to let the eyes do the talking. I used:
- GOSH velvet touch primer
- Revlon colorstay
- Rimmel stay matte powder
- Boujours blush in 'rose de jaspe'
- Tea tree moisturiser on the top of my cheekbones (dewy effect)
- Boujours blush in 'lune d'or' (on top of moisturiser to highlight)

Ovbiously the eyes are the main feature of this make up look. I used:
- Rimmel exagerate liquid liner (top lash line, slightly winged)
- Sleek palette, the black (sweeped over the liquid liner line and a bit above for smudged effect)
- UD 24/7 liner in 'zero' (waterline and bottom lashline, then smudged it down a tiny bit)
- Maybelline collosal mascara in ultra black

The lips are really nude and understated. I used:
- Rimmel blemish stick concealer (dabbed on and blended)
- Neutrogena lip blam (to make the concealer less dry on my lips)

Inspired: Peacock

Hey followers!
Well, i'm a bit annoyed to be honest... I can't wait to get my new camera because mine is so unbelievably crap. I just did an inspired make up look, and the camera won't focus properly, doesn't do some of the colours justice and just blanks out others!! ARGH!

Anyways, lol... I created an eye using inspiration from this picture (hopefully you can get the general idea from these crappy photos)...

The colours are much brighter in person!

PRODUCTS USED
UD BoS: jinx, homegrown, flipside and YDK
Sleek original palette: the navy and the yellow
Maybelline define a line eyeliner
Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara
