Girl's Trip in Colorado & Blog Awards!

**Pic heavy post!**

Back from my Girl's Trip in Denver & Breckenridge, CO - It was a much needed vacation & an awesome way to reconnect with friends I hadn't seen in awhile. :)

You don't need a great camera to capture the views in Colorado - Mother nature does all the work for you!

Colorado

Sawmill

I have decided that there are a few elements that are essential to any girl's trip:

*~Adventure~*

Hiking trail

Cashier

*~Laughter~*

Hiking

*~Food~*

Mac and cheese

Palmond

Flower of Paradise

Chocolate almond croissant

*~Goofy moments~*

Locker room

*~Bonding time~*

snow day

Shuttle ride

*~Going out on the town~*

Ladies

Dbar

*~Pampering~*

Spa locker room

Indoor outdoor pool

Hot Tub

Spa room

*~The element of Surprise~*

Snake

Caution

Lodge mirror

The week literally flew by - my body is adjusting again to the drastic change in altitude (they don't call Denver the "mile high city" for nothing!) I so don't want to go back to work on Monday. :(

LUSH lust list & Vacation

Good morning and HAPPY EASTER to everybody! Wouldn't it be nice to have Easter Baskets for grown-ups? LOL...full of goodies like skincare, makeup, perfume etc. in fancy, cute, pastel-y packaging?

Out of curiousity, I checked out LUSH Japan's site - and man, is their gift wrap and such MUCH cuter!

The base packaging is the same, but this would also make a great Easter 'basket'! Love the Sakura blossoms, so pretty!

Speaking of LUSH, I have decided to take the plunge - and try out a few products. Too many gorgeous bloggers out there have already raved and raved about LUSH, so I think it is definitely time to give it a try! At the LUSH shop near home I plan on purchasing:

Of course, product reviews to follow. :) A good excuse is that it is nearing Summer time and I can already feel my skin changing - thus the need for a new skincare regimen/skincare products! I have combo skin that is oily in the Summer but with dry spots. This is my LUST list - different from my wish list because I really REALLY want these products as opposed to just kind of wish for them. So I'm actually going to do something about it ... I'll budget it in. ;)

Other things on my LUST list: Herrohachi silver girl neenja tee, handmade jewelry by beautiful bloggers in sidebar (can't get enough of the sparklies!), & Toric circle lenses in Gray & Brown.

I'll actually be off of Blogger for about 6 days for my much anticipated girl's trip this upcoming week!!! :D The plan is Skiing & Spa. I haven't had a true vacation in awhile, so I'm brimming with excitement!

Welcome to the lovely Willz, Coco, hizumiichigo, Jennifer, Bianca, Royal-beauty, LikeSamantha, miss-sugarbunny, fisiwoman, Aero Lantern, London's Beauty, Summerbabe, & Kay Lee :) Thank you for brightening my day!

Have a great holiday & will see you lovelies soon! I plan on finally getting around to reviewing LOTS of products when I return - so much to do!

Tea cups & girl time

I had the pleasure of joining my manager for dinner at her house today. She lives in a cute & compact yet open and lush house nestled in the suburbs. We enjoyed some delicious pan-fried, flaky white halibut with plump scallops and shrimp. The seafood was lightly seasoned and browned on both sides with olive oil and french butter.

I love the fancy china and the big white modern dishes!

I forgot to mention the crazy looking broccolinis! Such long stems!

It's always very eye-opening to spend some time with somebody who has worked in the field for over 20+ years...that's almost as long as I have been alive...crazy! Their perspective is unique and intriguing. Pharmacy is changing so very rapidly...what was once a very in-demand field is now becoming super saturated. Gone are sign-on bonuses and having the luxury to even decide your location of choice! I definitely am thankful I am where I am now...

After a indulgent night of seafood, Vietnamese Kareoke, purse ogling, artichoke hummus, Chopin's Nocturne in E flat major, and green tea laced with rock candy, I returned home, happy, content, and inspired. :)
