AFTER RELEASE OF RA. ONE SHAHRUKH KHAN WILL START YRF BANNER MOVIE

After release of Ra. one Shahrukh Khan Will Start YRF Banner Movie

Ever since Yash Chopra announced his next film a few months ago, the wait for this film has already begun. The veteran, who directed VEER ZAARA more than seven years ago, is all set to begin his next film with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in the lead. This time, the respected and revered film-maker has signed A.R. Rahman to score the music of his forthcoming film.

The latest on the project is that Yash-ji is all ready with the script, but since Shah Rukh is busy with RA.ONE and DON 2, the actor has requested the film-maker to begin filming once he’s through with these two films. Of course, the veteran film-maker and the actor share close ties, hence the principal shooting of the film will commence only after the release of these two films. In the meanwhile, Rahman is expected to record the songs of this film, before the film goes on floors.

This film, one is more than sure, will be on every moviegoer’s ‘must watch’ list when its release date is announced. What say?

Pink Fumed at Her Facebook Hackers

Pink launched a rant to the people who have hacked into her Facebook account on Sunday, September 4. "To all the people I don't know hacking into my private pictures on Facebook, please stop. Have some respect for privacy," she wrote onTwitter in all-capital letters.

However, an hour later, Pink seemed to have cooled off, tweeting, "It's my own fault 4 posting a picture. I should know better. Anyways, there are way more important things in the world than my Facebook page." She added, "Every body have a beautiful beautiful day."

The singer, who gave birth to her first child in June, is known for her dislike of paparazzi and of other things that disturb her privacy. While taking baby Willow to a Malibu fair, Pink and husband Carey Hart were swarmed by photographers who wanted to catch a photo of the tot sleeping. Pink later called the photogs "cockroaches" on Twitter.

Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan set UAE date for 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'

After Dubai’s grand Eid celebration comprising Bollywood celebs such as Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra for Shoppiesta at Meydan, the capital is now having its own red carpet show-stopping event with the world premiere of the latest Katrina Kaif-starrer, “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan”.

The romcom, which has been produced by Yash Raj Films, will also see Kaif’s co-stars Imran Khan and Pakistani actor-singer, Ali Zafar gracing the event, which will be held at Vox Cinemas, Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.

Speaking with Emirates 24|7, Yash Raj Films’ Head of Mena region, Nelson D’Souza said: “The film is a complete package, and will certainly draw in the crowds. Added to that is the star power, with both Katrina and Imran riding high on the success of their respective hits, “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and “Delhi Belly”.

“Plus, Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has his own fan-following and we are quite confident “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” will do well in the cinemas.”

When quizzed about the filmmakers choice in Abu Dhabi hosting the world premiere, as opposed to the traditional choice for Bollywood with Dubai being the main focus, D’Souza said: “Everyone holds premieres in Dubai, and we wanted to be different; so, we chose the capital.

“Aside from “My Name is Khan”, there has been no independent Bollywood film premiere in Abu Dhabi and we truly believe the cinematic audience there is starved for some starry glamour.”

While the premiere is an invite-only event, D’Souza confirmed that fans would have plenty of opportunities to see their favourite celebs in the flesh, with a 5pm appearance by the trio at the Sharaf DG outlet in Abu Dhabi Mall; this will be followed by the 7pm red carpet at Vox Cinemas.

“There will also be 100 people who can win invite to the film premiere via our television partner, Zee Network and our radio partner, 105.4 Radio Spice,” he added.

“Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” is set amongst upper middle class families in northern India, which sees Khan’s character falling in love with his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancĂ©e (Kaif). The film has drawn parallels with the Hollywood film, “Dan In Real Life”, along with the Indian film, “Sorry Bhai”.

Talking about the film’s release one week after the Salman Khan magnum opus, “Bodyguard”, D’Souza said there was nothing to fear.

“The two films are poles apart; with one being an action thriller, while the other a romantic comedy. Both movies will have their separate audience and it will certainly cash in on the Eid rush.”

Zee Aflam, the 24-hour Pan Arab Bollywood film channel, will also air the making of the film prior to its release.

Tamer Al Sherbini, Head of Marketing, Zee Aflam, said in a statement: “Our partnership with Yash Raj Films, for the world premiere of “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” in the UAE highlights our commitment to bring the true Bollywood experience to the local Arabic audiences – our primary viewers.”

The Bollywood stars are no novices to the UAE, with Khan having visited Dubai for several film promotions and premieres over the last two years, with Zafar also hosting many concerts in the emirates.

Meanwhile Kaif, who aside from being a hot premiere favourite here, is also the brand ambassador for the Abu Dhabi-based Eithad Airways.

According to sources, the trio will stop in the capital just for the day, before catching a late night flight to London for the film’s premiere there, the following day. Their promotional blitzkrieg will see them return to Mumbai on September 9, when the film releases across India.

“Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” goes on general release on September 8 across UAE cinemas.

Shahrukh Khan thrilled about PS3 game on Ra.One

Indian superstar Shahrukh Khan, who is leaving no stone unturned to promote his most ambitious project Ra.One is excited about a PS3 game, based on the upcoming super-hero flick.

SRK's Red Chillies Productionhas tied up with Sony Playstation, a leading game player, to develop and create a game based on the film.

The game called Ra One - The Game, which will be available forPS2 and PS3 consoles from September, about a month before the movie releases in October this year.

"Sorry to go on and on about the Sony ps3 game but i am so taken in by it. Yippee my own personal video game.Though the hair is little pointy. Will put up shots of other actors too very soon," Shahrukh said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra in love again?

Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra seem to be coming back together after rumours of the two having drifted apart.

"Priyanka and Shahid are coming closer. The alienated lovers are seen together most of the times and they seem to be enjoying each other's company," a source said.

However, this is not all, there is more to this love story. The source adds, "We are not completely sure if they are confident about their recent relationship status. We can only presume that they are not being snobbish towards each other".

In the past Priyanka has been linked to several men, including Akshay Kumar. It is very difficult to state when she will find her Mr. Right. Whereas Shahid has gone through a bitter break up with Kareena Kapoor.

I enjoy work with younger heroes: Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif has taken a dig at heroes who are much older than her in age. She says she is far more comfortable working with actors of her age. The older-men club includes Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, as both the actors are quite older to her.

"I don't think anyone will mind if I say it's very different working with older heroes because the age difference is about 20 years, and just about two to three years with the younger heroes with whom you can be mischievous," she said.

Though Salman has been her boyfriend for several years, the actress realised this now that the age-gap is far too wide between the two.

On SRK she said: "I don't know what it will be like working with Shah Rukh but I have heard that he makes his heroines comfortable".

‘Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif to sign another film together’

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan have never been paired as lovers on screen when they were in a relationship. Looks like the ex lovers are making up for all the lost time now, after parting ways.
After coming together for YRF’s Ek Tha Tiger, Salman and Katrina are all set to star in Dharma Productions’ yet untitled project by Rensil D’Silva.
This film hopefully will now break the jinx that has prevented Kat and KJo from working together this far. Katrina was earlier supposed to star in Dharma’s sequel to Dostana with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. The project seemed to take rather too long to take off. More recently, Katrina all set to work with KJo’s Dharma in Ayaan Mukerji’s second directorial venture couldn’t allot dates for the same.

As a result of which the Kat-KJo partnership failed to take off once again. “Till the last moment, every effort was made to get Katrina in Ayaan’s project. But it just didn’t work out,” revealed a source close to the project.

Now, after two failed attempts to work with the actress, Karan Johar seems to have made up his mind to cast Katrina in the forthcoming Rensil D’Silva project starring Salman Khan.

Katrina, however, is willing to wait to work with Karan. “It doesn’t matter whether I am in Karan’s film now or later, or never. He’s a dear friend and I really enjoy his company,” said the actress. The Rensil D’Silva film will however go on floors next year.

Another film in Sallu’s 2012 calendar
Rajkumar Santoshi can now breathe easy since his much awaited Salman starrer is finally ready to go on floors early next year. Ramesh Taurani of Tips confirmed the same and said, “We are starting our film with Salman sometime in January or February 2012.”

Salman, who post his Dabangg and Ready success has become one of Bollywood’s most bankable and busy stars, has allotted dates for the Tips project from early next year. The film was announced in 2010 but had failed to take off. “We need just one heroine for this film. We haven’t finalised her yet though,” revealed Taurani.

According to a source close to the film, “Keeping in mind the triple success if Wanted, Dabangg and Ready, Santoshi’s film with Salman will also be a typical mass entertainer.”

Interestingly, both Santoshi and Taurani had major plans to work with Salman which failed to take off in the past. Santoshi has always wanted to make a sequel to his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna but it never materialised. Ramesh Taurani too had attempted to work with the Khan brothers, Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail in a remake of Amar Akbar Anthony. That too failed to take off.

I want to do a raunchy item number: Sushmita Sen

Former beauty queen Sushmita Sen, who did item numbers in movies like 'Fiza' and Nayak', wants to get back into the dancing mode and is keen on doing a raunchy item number.
Sushmita was last seen in Anees Bazmee's comedy 'No Problem' last year.
'I like winning but I don't like rat races as I can't deal with Friday to Friday fluctuations. I do a 'Main Hoon Na' and people think I've arrived - with the saris, the glamour. And then I do a 'Chingari' and people hate it. But I experiment. Now I am taking a break and reading scripts.
'I do want to do an item number, to get back to dancing soon. Want to do a really raunchy item number,' she said in an interview on 'The Date Season 2', which will be aired on Bloomberg UTV Saturady.
During the show, she also reminisced about her first big success in 1994 when she was crowned Miss Universe and said that there were people who didn't even know her name when she won the crown, but they were happy with the fact that an Indian had won.
'Everything in my life has been a cosmic accident. I was found at a nightclub and somebody suggested I go for Miss India. The entire experience (Miss India) opened up my eyes. Around the world people celebrated. They didn't even know my name, but they knew India had won. That's when it hit me that I had put India on the map,' said the 35-year-old.
Now a budding entrepreneur, who selects model from India to participate in the Miss Universe pageant through her company I Am She - Miss Universe India, Sushmita feels that beauty contests need attention.
'Beauty contests are a structured business and India needs to start looking at it like that. That's what will dictate our performance at pageants. Latin America starts grooming girls at a very young age... Yes our win at that time helped to open up the market, but it's not just about the cosmetics industry else china would be winning every year. It's also about personalities. That's where the public vote comes in,' she said.
'We don't like to objectify women....because we celebrate women. (We) stick to the age group 18-26 because that's the mandate but other than that, (we) have removed language barriers, allowed a girl with one eye because we thought she was beautiful. Not restricted to what is conventionally acceptable,' she added.
The actress, who adopted two girls Renee and Alisah, finds no reason to get married.
'My parents didn't raise me to be someone's wife or for that to be my sole identity. They supported me in my adopting two little girls. They know I am responsible and can make my own decisions and am good at prioritizing things in my life. They helped me to balance my work and kids,' she said.

Salman is a good friend of mine: Katrina Kaif

Actress Katrina Kaif, who usually remains tight-lipped about her relationship status, told a fan that she is currently enjoying her time with family and that Salman Khan is her good friend.
During a chat with her fans on Airtel's 'Talk2Me' platform, when the 26-year-old was quizzed about her relationship, she said: 'At the moment I am just with my family and nothing going on like that.'
When a fan said that people feel she looks good with Salman Khan, the British-born actress said: 'Ya, he is a good friend of mine.'
The two were reportedly seeing each other but broke off last year.
The actress is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', also starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. The film directed by Zoya Akhtar will hit the screens Friday.

Bipasha, Shahid Kapoor dating each other?

Looks like Bipasha Basu has found ‘love’ again, according to close friends she seems to be very happy these days and has claimed to have a new man in her life, but she refuses to divulge any names.
Sources claim that Bipasha has been gushing about an eligible young man in her life who is not only sweet and affectionate, but is also showering her with gifts. Apparently, she’s not yet serious about this new man and she is currently enjoying basking in the warmth of his adoration. If news reports are to be believed, the mystery man is none other than Shahid Kapoor.
Since they have not acted together even once, people are left wondering about how they even became friends. Apparently, they were introduced to each other by Abbas who is Shahid’s trainer. Both, Shahid and Bipasha are newly single and they don’t want their budding love to come under the media scanner just yet. Shahid recently arrived at a shoot with hickeys on his neck and refused to reveal who ‘marked’ him.
Recently, Shahid threw a party at his Andheri home and invited only the closest of his friends including Siddarth Anand, Anushka Sharma, Ayesha Takia, Sonam Kapoor, and Ahmed Khan and amongst them all was Bipasha Basu. It’s safe to say that her presence there did surprise few of the guests.
Unsurprisingly, when asked, Bipasha claimed that she doesn’t know Shahid all that well and Shahid’s spokesperson on the other hand claimed that Bipasha is just one of Shahid’s friends and not anyone special.

Murder 2 and Chillar Party march ahead at box office!

This week will go down the pages of history as a memorable one for Bollywood because two extremely diverse films belonging to contrasting genres have hit the jackpot together! The entire industry is in the mood to celebrate because the year 2011 seems to be turning into a gold mine for producers, distributors and exhibitors!
Mukesh Bhatt's Murder 2 starring serial kisser Emraan Hashmi has performed beyond the expectations of not just the audience, but also the film trade by opening to a bumper response all across the country! Surprising everyone pleasantly, the film is marching ahead to become the biggest ever grosser coming from the camp of the Bhatts.
On the other hand, Salman Khan & UTV Motion Pictures' joint production Chillar Party seems to be the underdog that is getting stronger by the day courtesy a very positive word of mouth! A beautiful, sensitive film about a bunch of adorable children, it has taken everyone by surprise and got people raving about it!
"The brand 'Murder' is all about thrills, sex & mystery and the second part of the franchise delivers exactly what it promises! It has opened to a bumper response all over and shows the potential that mass appealing films have for business in India" claims well known film exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi.
"Such mass appealing films will continue to thrive as long as what we call the lower and middle class strata of the society continues to exist in India, and I am sure we all realize that this section of the society is not going to be wiped out in many many years to come! Its great to see producers going back to focusing on the core Indian audience rather than continuously making niche films that appeal to much smaller sections of the Indian society," says Rathi
The year so far highlights the truth in Rathi's words as the big hits of the year are Salman Khan's Ready , Sunny Deol's Yamla Pagla Deewana , Madhavan's Tanu Weds Manu, all of which speak to an audience that comprises of the middle class.
The line up of releases ahead including films such as Bodyguard, Housefull 2, Singham etc also indicates that the producers have indeed discovered the formula for minting money at the box office – catering to the masses.

Aamir Khan's Prelude!

With films which made characters like Amar, Prem, ACP Rathod famous and eternal, the movies that established a genre, that taught the youngistan words like ‘aila”, and “uima’, with a tinge of nationalistic feeling have somehow obliterated in the dark.
Aamir Khan says they need to be revised and revived. With the latent potentiality they carry, they can be made a sequel. These were no common movies of the time, a rare comedy and a rare patriotism. According to Aamir a sequel should be such that would bring to life original character and in the same time maintain the essence of the movie.
This can only be achieved keeping the same characters in the sequel but with a different and more elevating story line. After all every fan is interested to know what happens next? What is in store after the happy ending? Though he just confesses his heart he is not actually in anyway planning any such sequel. But the good news is he has given an idea to the film-makers. With sequels in vogue everywhere, this could be exhilarating for both the audience and the performers.
While talking about his innate ideas he did not fail to state how Dhoom has exemplified the forerunner concept. It has a different concept every time with the same base. Well let’s see now what the perfectionist has to deliver if such sequel is made.
Nevertheless with Aamir Khan already having the seed planted in our minds, we have our hopes raised.

Vasuki Sunkavalli is Miss Universe India 2011

Vasuki Sunkavalli, popularly known as Vasuki in the Indian modelling industry, has been chosen to represent India at the Miss Universe contest this year. She says she is confident of making her country proud.
'In this competition, I met a lot of people from different parts of the country and from different professions. That was very interesting. I am very confident, hopeful and determined that I will bring the crown back. I will give it my best,' Vasuki told reporters here.
The 26-year-old Hyderabad girl was crowned Miss Universe India 2011 through former Miss Universe-turned-actress Sushmita Sen's Wadhawan Lifestyle I Am She contest at a private ceremony here Friday night.
But the results of the contest were unveiled in the media Saturday.
Two more crowns were given out. The I Am She Globe International 2011 title was bagged by 23-year-old Parul Duggal, a fashion designer by profession, while 19-year-old Tanvi Singla from Mysore has won the I Am She Asia Pacific 2011 title.
Sushmita, whose production company Tantra Entertainment, was awarded the India franchise by the Miss Universe Organisation last year, is glad that her endeavour is now 'three times larger'.
'We have added two new franchises - the Miss Globe International and Miss Asia Pacific. I feel immensely proud to say that with these girls, the chances of the international crowns coming back to India are closer than we think,' she said.
With the title, Vasuki has won a cash prize of Rs.200,000, while the other two title holders have been awarded Rs.100,000 each.

Priyanka Chopra refuses to do item songs

Priyanka Chopra, is going to hit back the silver screen with her guest appearance in SRK’s film “Ra.One”. But this is old news. It has been heard, that Piggy Chops who generally avoids doing sizzling item numbers these days, will be seen in an upcoming movie “Tezz”, dancing to the tunes of Sajid-Wajid. The film will be produced by Priyadarshan, and Priyanka has bagged a sensuous item number in her kitty already.
But when Priyanka’s spokesman was contacted to verify the news, he stated Piggy Chops won’t be doing any item numbers, and this is just a rumour. He also said that Piggy Chops never had any conversation with the ‘Tezz’ film unit, so how can she be a part of the film!
The film ‘Tezz’ has stars Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut and Ajay Devgan as main characters. But, the plot of the story is yet unknown.
Piggy Chops has been always popular for her moves. Be it in “Aitraaz”, “Mujhse Shaadi Karoge”, “Dostana” and in other films too, Priyanka has been a dancing diva always. It’s for us to wait and watch if someday, Priyanka finally wears the crown of item dancer. But for the present, we can only hope that we will get a glance of her in “Ra.One”, which is to be released this Diwali.
