Finally managed to get the audio and video to sync properly - apologies to anyone who was totally confused by what was previously going on - you weren't going crazy - it was all me being a technical ignoramus!!
p.s. Yup it appears I am always pulling a face - fixing that is WAY beyond my technical skills!!
