I managed a whole 7 minutes today. I seriously thought and felt like I'd been running for about twenty years but my watch was adamant: I'd only been running for seven minutes.
Clearly my lungs and knees are in need of a rest, but the one thing that has caught me off guard is just HOW mentally knackered I am from all this running: This morning I put two contacts in the same eye - even after checking which eye the contact still needed to go into - three times. On Wednesday I put deodorant in my hair instead of dry shampoo (dry shampoo helps with the wooly hat hair situation and absorbs most of the sweat, deodorant on my hair doesn't do the same job - although you'd think it really should!) I hate to think all the things I've done wrong/ mislaid and just haven't realised yet.
Conscious that I need to regroup for the week ahead, I'm not attempting anymore running until monday - tomorrow I'll be indulging in some FUN non-running exercise. CAN'T WAIT xx
