Credit card : Exclusive

A 0% APR credit card is an opportunity for you to cash in on a good amount of savings across the board. If you are like many, you are realizing that this might be a great way to realize true benefits from a credit card without having to pay much for it. Yet, there is much more to know about these 0% APR credit cards. You should take the time necessary to find the right opportunities for your specific needs. In many cases, this is a great option, if used in the right manner.

What Is 0% APR?

When a company offers you a credit card at a 0% APR, they are basically allowing you to borrow funds for no interest. There are generally some fees that are associated with the credit offers, but in most cases, you will see that they are still quite an affordable option. In most cases, the APR that is offered to you will one of two types. Some credit cards will offer you a standard APR, or annual percentage rate that is the rate you will likely hold for the time that you hold the line of funds. Others will offer a lower introductory offer. Normally, a 0% interest credit card is offered for an introductory time period only.

Should You Use It?

If you have the choice between two offers of credit, one with a lower rate than the other, you may be tempted to just go with the lowest offer. Yet, there is more to it than just that. In fact, you need to consider what the interest rate will be after the introductory period is over. For example, if you have two offers, one lower in the six month introductory period than the other, you may be tempted to go with the lowest offer. Yet, in the long term, that line of credit may have a higher rate. Determine which offers the best overall ability for you to get what you need in the least expensive manner.

The Benefits Of 0%

Yet, even with that said, there are plenty of benefits of selecting a 0% APR credit card. For example, if you know that you will be paying off that line of credit quickly, within the introductory period, it is well worth making the switch. After all, there is not anything better than borrowing money for free. If you have a credit card currently that has a much higher interest rate, you can save yourself quite a few fees if you do a balance transfer to the 0% APR credit cards as well. Here, make sure that the rate applies to balance transfers before making the move.

In short, a 0% APR credit card is an opportunity for you to invest in paying less. To benefit from them, make sure to get all the facts and take the time necessary to compare them. To find these offers, simply check out the opportunities offered by the lenders. Most credit card companies do offer some form of introductory rate reduction offer including 0% interest credit cards.

Review: H&M lipglosses

Hey dolls,
A few days ago i popped into h&m for a browse on my way to boots. my intentions were to go to boots and pick up the Barry M glossy tube (?) in shade 4. however... h&m distracted me and i ended up not going to boots at all! I did substitute the barry m glossy tube with these...

If you double click on the pictures then you get a truer image of colour as well as glitter. These were screaming out at me in the beauty section, actually, more like their big red sticker with £1 on was screaming at me! I believe the original prices are £1.99 but they could be £2.99 so don't quote me, lol.

They come with a brush tip applicator rather than a doe foot or just squeezy tube. Personally, i don't mind that. They also have the sweetest names! I have a very pale, baby pink colour called 'english rose', a true bubblegum pink called 'pink whisper' and a caramel/nude colour named 'bella bellina'.

Bella bellina is definitely the most sparkly out of them all, pink whisper following lastly, english rose which barely has any glitter - although there is a small ammount. You can't feel the glitter on the lips and isn't gritty, which when i saw it - i assumed it would.

Consistency? Suprisingly good! They're not the most pigmented lipglosses out there, you could wear them alone for very sheer colour but i like layering them over the top of lipsticks. The forumla isn't too stick so you don't get hair constantly clinging to your lips, and it's not so runny is slips down on to your chin (ever happened... not good!). The staying power is a good 2/3 hours i'd say which for £1, you can't complain! It gives a really pretty gloss to your lips :)

All in all, a good buy. I think i'm going to have to try their other lip glosses as i know they have some doe foot applicator ones! Have you tried them?

Our Very Own SUPERtrooper

Unfortunately our Commando Challenge dream team has hit a MAHOUSIVE snag – our AMAZING Sergeant Major, Luscious Lucinda came off slightly worse for the wear in her first ever Triathlon this weekend when mid-tri she broke her arm/ elbow in a biking collision. Nooooooooooooooooooo…

I wouldn't even have such a brilliant team joining me on CC, if it hadn't been for Lucinda's irrepressable enthusiasm in getting everyone to sign up - I am SO indebted to you LL, so much more than I can say. It kills me you won't be there up to your elbows in mud alongside us, psyching us on.

You’d never guess this snap was taken just a few moments post breakage.
With her characteristic humour, when taken to A+E, and asked by a hospital nurse what was wrong with her - with a bleeding elbow and her arm held to her body no less – Lucinda quipped "I've hurt my foot!" Classic Lu.

Before going to A+E, I should add that a broken arm didn’t stop Lucinda going on to complete the Triathlon, in an awe-inspiring 1hr 30mins no less. Most importantly she still beat her Dad! “Catch her!” UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING doesn’t even come close. She has definitely earnt her SUPERchick stripes a gazillion times over.

Daddy of our very own SUPERTrooper

I have it on good authority that Lucinda merked her papa by 7 mins despite a crash, a 5 min break and running with a broken elbow! “Lucinda epitomises the standard by which SuperChick excellence is measured” {I’m liking your buddy Ross and his ability to recognise a SuperChick at 50 paces!}

Now however, Lucinda is on rest and recovery duty for a few weeks and I know she is feeling G.U.T.T.E.D. at missing out on all the events that she was training so hard for, including Commando Challenge, among others.

Lucinda – however down you’re feeling at being benched temporarily, you should know that you’re leaving IMPOSSIBLY BIG shoes to fill and the SUPERchicks, particularly the Hyde Park crew, literally cannot wait to have you back: mended, rested and ready to “merk” everything in sight!

Until then we wanted to let you know that we’re ALL thinking of you and to ensure that you keep your "fighting fit spirit", the SUPERchicks have been hard at work compiling a tribute worthy of you – really Shakespeare has nothing on Mel and Jo!! Plus our own Cheer Captain Jade has been working on a Lucindastic cheer solo to be performed on your return ;~))

Just for you Lucinda, here’s what the SuperChicks wanted to say:

“Look, anyone who can watch The Matrix and then attempt to defy gravity a la Neo is an absolute diamond in my eyes! You are quite possibly one of the most motivated people I've ever come across - your drive and passion for "more cardio", "extra arms" and cries of "come on Jade - you can do full press ups!" both scares and inspires me in equal measures. Love, love, love it when I see you bounding over to a training session as I know I'll force myself to keep up with you as well as have a brilliant laugh. In a nutshell, Lucinda is a SUPERhard, SUPERfunny, ultimate SUPERchick. Miss you already and CC won't be the same without you, but I know we'll put in that extra effort to make you proud. WE'LL MERK IT! XJade

is for the laughs she brings to the SUPERchick classes. I’ve actually never seen her without a smile on her face. Yes even at 7am whilst exercising.

U is for unbelievable motivation she has herself and for the motivation she provides everyone within class.

C is for caps; Everytime I give her lateral raises she always beams and says '' I love this exercise it gives you beautiful caps on your arms.”

I is for inspirational. She makes others believe they can complete any task the trainer sets. She even manages to convince the morning crew that it’s a fantastic idea to run that extra 1K before I’ve even suggested it. This girl never ceases to amaze me she is an absolute Legend.

N is for never giving up. Who else would complete a triathlon after breaking their arm?

D is for determination. Always ready to complete every task thrown at her. I have never seen this girl give up.

A is for awesome. I truly believe she is. She’s always brilliant, always ready to do that little bit of a tougher option.

Lucinda truly rocks. Moreover she keeps me thinking of new ways to work everyone harder, I haven’t yet asked her to do an exercise that in her own words she hasn’t MERKED. Lucinda is a real driving force at Hardcore Hyde. I know I love seeing her beaming face at class and so do all the other girls. We will all be wishing her a speedy recovery, as we can’t wait for her to back in class. Spurring everyone on, and making us smile along the way xx SuperTrainer Mel

"The great thing about Lucinda is that she not only has enough motivation and self belief for herself but for those all around her too!! I’ve lost count of the number of times she’s told me that I can run a distance or complete a certain challenge with “no problem”! Lucinda is always encouraging and great at knowing what you want even before you do! There are times when I’ve eventually been persuaded to put my name down for something only to be told by Lucinda that “hmm, might have already signed you up for that!”

Lucinda is gutsy, determined and great fun – anyone who completes a triathlon with a broken arm, and still beats her Dad, truly is SUPER in my book! I know she will be sorely missed at the Commando Challenge but I plan on channelling my inner Lucinda to help get me through! Let’s make her proud and merk it!!" Vicky

...gosh, no idea what to add to this; The thing I'm most impressed about with Lucinda is her constant grin and complete eagerness to get stuck right into the most painful cardio activities. Before you say the word, she's off like a shot! Moans are just not in this girl's vocabulary. She's all go, go, go, brightness and cheer... a whirlwind of energy on the bleariest of mornings. She also has the craziest workout fashions down pat (spacey, bobbly soled trainers; weirdass harnesses on her back; shiny beaconous purple & yellow jacket? Love them all!). Pui-Tien

Just to prove you can say it all in just 20 words: Give us an

Finally two sentiments that if you weren't convinced yet of your awesomeness, Lucinda, you now will be:

“Lucy Lu - hope you are feeling better soon, but enjoy the stoned feeling from the pain killers - might even make work fun! In the meantime milk the sympathy..... I will from this day on carry your tea and water and open the doors on the drinks run!” Caitriona

“Lucinda really is the heart of SuperChicks... I know if she's there then I'll be doing an extra 1K run or an extra set of push ups...she's the BEST pre-wedding motivator! She is 'Miss Motivator.'” Trish

We love you muchos so feel better soon and hurry up and get mended, pleeeeease, until then give us an "L"... xx

Run off my feet

I’m not sure what happened but somehow without really realising it, I suddenly feel like a fully fledged runner – either I seem to be running, be scheduling my next run, having a running lesson, flicking through a running fitness magazine, checking out running clubs and MOST AMAZINGLY I can even RUN for an hour non-stop without having a panic attack either pre, during or post run. (as AJ can testify)

Definitive signs that running is truly getting easier and more bearable:

a) I can run for more than 10 minutes without becoming totally puffed or needing to worry about passing out – breathing seems to happen now all by itself. TRULY AMAZING.

b) I can manage some semblance of conversation, though admittedly its mostly one or two liners.

c) I can run 10km without my ipod to force my legs to keep going

d) I no longer HAVE to count trees, lamposts or parking meters just to keep me running a little bit further.

e) I consciously think about my technique – and attempt to keep driving my arms and picking up my heels all throughout the run.

f) Sometime I even manage all of the above simultaneously!!

I have to admit that I still don’t LOVE, LOVE, LOVE running – it is hard work and my knees are a bit too creaky but par example, running in tandem with AJ along the Thames yesterday morning in the cool Autumn air, dressed in my woolly hat with my pom pom on the top acting as a metronome and knowing that we were on track for a GREAT 1km time and that we weren't feeling beyond knackered or struggling too much is an AWESOME feeling. More so as it’s one I never thought I’d ever feel.

However I know I still have a long way to go:

a) Not be overtaken quite so much particularly by seemingly fast walkers

b) Running in the cold and mastering breathing in freezing cold air without my lungs dying

c) To achieve my 50min 10 km time by the end of October (this will probably require tricking AJ as she’s working towards a 60 min 10km - ho hum)

d) Sort out my creaky knees

e) Sustain my running technique and ensure that it becomes second nature

f) Run to work 3 times a week, i.e. run 10 km non-stop without AJ there to stop me from just walking

g) Start thinking about signing up for a ½ Marathon (Jen and TP aced at their 1/2 Marathon this weekend – BIG whoop to you both)

Clearly I still have lots to learn so its back to school I go - today is the first of the five SuperChick "Learn to Run Sessions" in the build up to SuperChick's own 10km race in October and happily, I finally feel as though I might just enjoy this running course rather than be petrified out of my mind and desperately not wanting to turn up, like the previous "Learn to Run" course I did earlier this year.

Never fear though, some things will never change: after yesterday’s 10km onslaught, I will be in my customary position right at the back of the class, huffing and puffing, and seeming to drag myself along the pavement - but you know what I DON’T CARE – hopefully I can help spur on anyone else who’s at the back as I know EXACTLY how awful it feels to be starting out and how after 90 seconds you realise you’ve just made the worst mistake EVER but it’s too late to escape and just want to burst into tears/die.

Yesterday I managed to run 10 km non-stop for the FIRST TIME EVER (ironically, this is despite having already entered two10km races this year!!) AND still be on talking terms with Amazing Jo at the end of it. I’m literally the world’s MOST RELUCTANT runner, so if I can do this, believe me, absolutely anyone can. The woolly hat is optional!

See you tonight any SuperChick newbie runners – can’t wait. x

Anna Nicole Smith verdicts will resonate for doctors, patients

Abeautiful blonde celebrity has been making cameo appearances in a downtown courtroom. The woman is Anna Nicole Smith, a one-time Playboy model who died in 2007 of a drug overdose. Those on trial are her former lawyer-boyfriend and two doctors, all charged with conspiring to give her excessive prescription drugs while knowing she was an addict.

The busty bombshell who sometimes slurred her words and appeared drugged. Who was she in life? Even her name was a mystery. Was she Vickie Marshall, Anna Nicole Smith, Michelle Chase, Susie Wong, Jane Brown or a number of other pseudonyms used to fill prescriptions? Was Smith a drug addict or a woman beset by so much pain from various ailments that she sought relief in medicine bottles?

Apliant victim drugged into semiconsciousness by others or a strong-willed woman who told people what to do? The jury of six women and six men will ponder those questions when the case is submitted to them, possibly next week.Superior Court Judge Robert Perry has harshly criticized the prosecution for "overreaching" and indicated he will bar some charges.

The way this case is charged and being prosecuted," he told Deputy District Attorney Renee Rose. "If you're going to accuse someone, you should have some evidence.I would hope that a prosecutor would be intent on finding the truth, not just a conviction. Now, Perry has presented both sides with a 15-page document he labeled "Thoughts," asking 50 different questions about the charges.

What evidence shows that Anna Nicole Smith took drugs to get high or obtain a euphoric state and not to relieve pain?

Dr. Perry G. Fine, clearly impressed the judge. Fine testified that even if Smith was prescribed 1,500 pills in one month for pain, it did not mean she was an addict — that clinical factors had to be considered as well as her high tolerance for opiates and sedatives.Perry sees this as central to the case and advised jurors: The number of pills is not a determinative factor in this case.

Smith's homes after she died. Much of the prosecution's case has been a laundry list of powerful medications, including Methadone, Dilaudid, Demarol, Valium, Xanax and Chloral Hydrate. Pharmacists testified about being shocked at the number of medications prescribed and one said he refused to fill.

Smith suffered from chronic pain syndrome, seizures, fractured ribs, migraine headaches, insomnia and severe back pain, as well as depression after the death of her son, Daniel. But I can see why he is concerned, she said.Even the (California) legislature has expressed concern that these statutes might be used in a way that would chill doctors from treating pain.

Veteran lawyers Steve Sadow, Ellyn Garafalo and Brad Brunon — recently made a surprise announcement that they will call no further witnesses after the prosecution rests. They say the case against their clients has not been proven.

Perry, who said he has researched the legislative intent behind the relevant laws, said he may tell jurors that to convict the defendants of prescribing to an addict they must find the prescriptions were for "non-therapeutic purposes," meaning to feed an addiction rather than treat an illness.

Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich have pleaded not guilty to an array of charges, including conspiracy to provide excessive controlled substances, prescribing to an addict, and obtaining drugs by fraud — some prescribed under false names.

Examined every prosecution witness and the judge said they succeeded in destroying the credibility of several, including two nannies flown in from the Bahamas. Sadow accused one of them of outright perjury. The prosecution summoned up Smith's video images to suggest she was addicted — showing her at the American Music Awards.

He asked whether nine prosecution witnesses should be considered accomplices and jurors should be warned to treat their testimony with caution. These included pharmacists and doctors who prescribed to Smith under pseudonyms, a common practice with celebrities.A former federal prosecutor of drug cases, said this case was overcharged and Perry will probably pare it down to the bare minimum he feels can be supported by law.

Prosecutors used photos of Smith naked in a tub with Eroshevich and pictures of Kapoor kissing Smith after riding with her in a gay parade to show that the doctors blurred the line of their professional relationship with Smith.

Monday on dismissal motions, but indicated some charges will likely survive in some form.He wants arguments to be limited to two issues: whether Smith was an addict and whether prescriptions.

Convictions could send a message that would inhibit doctors from prescribing pain medications and treating celebrities. They will feel that big brother is looking over their shoulder, she said. And even though we do want monitoring to keep the public safe.

Paris Hilton: Paris Hilton settles Hallmark lawsuit

Hollywood actress Paris Hilton will be getting a little something in the mail from Hallmark this year. The socialite has settled a lawsuit against the company over a greeting card that featured a scene seemingly ripped from her old reality show "The Simple Life."

The caption read "Paris's First Day as a Waitress" and made a pun on her trademarked catch phrase, "That's Hot." In 2007, Hilton sued, claiming her publicity rights had been violated.Last week, attorneys for Hilton and Hallmark advised a California judge that they had reached a settlement. A confidentiality provision limits the release of exact terms.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which handed Hilton a huge legal victory last year. The appeals court rejected Hallmark's protected-speech argument and raised doubts that the greeting card was "transformative" expression.

The two sides have been preparing for a December trial. Evidence was being collected to ascertain the commercial value of Hilton's endorsement.Hilton's name will be stamped in law review articles discussing the tricky balance between publicity rights and the First Amendment-but we may never know exactly.

Day 20 - A hobby of yours

Hey guys,
okay so again, i don't really have a hobby besides make up and shopping! i suppose reading? i do like to read but i don't really have much time (or money) to get through a whole pile of books. other hobbies would be just chilling with friends or the boy, i'm a bit of a 'home' girl and i'm always happiest with a friend lounging around inside doing various things - come dine with me marathons being my favourite ;)

blogging of course is my biggest hobby! i love to do it and love the feedback i get from you guys. i don't think i could ever cut it on youtube... i think the blogging community is a lot friendlier and i'm happy to say (touch wood) that i haven't experienced any negative comments. so thanks everyone for being so lovely! :D

excuse the boobage - but i love this picture - weheartit.com

love you all lots

Day 19 - A talent of yours

Hello ladies (and gents),
okay... so, a talent of mine? well, when god was handing out beautiful singing voices, sleek dance moves and child prodigies, he left me out. i'm not really outstandingly talented in any kind of area - i suppose i'm quite academic, i got good GCSE results, which slipped a wee bit when i started a levels. i like to think i'm quite talented at writing... i love creative writing and actually got an a* on my creative writing coursework oooh yeah ;)

but the talent i choose is being able to calm people down, yeah odd 'talent' i know. and to be honest, i don't know how i do it! i can always seem to put people at ease and calm them down when they're stressed or angry. especially with a friend on mine in psychology class - she gets extremely stressed out, lol. so yup that's one of my odd little talents :) as well as always keeping calm and happy myself!

Keep calm ;)

Going for Gold

I came across the "Do Lectures" this week - the basic premise of these is that those that have done something - be it something momentous or something on a slightly smaller scale, can help encourage others to "do something" {amazing} too.

Ideas + Energy = Change
This apparently accumulates by a magnitude so:
Lots of Ideas + a Tiggerish amount of Enegy = Unstoppable G.O.A.M.

In homage to this simple equation and the "Do Lectures", I wanted to do a piece on the SEVEN SUPERFABULOUS individuals who've been inspiring me this week each in their own way to "do something" {other than eat!}

The first two individuals are literally "Going for Gold" this weekend and so deserve a MASSIVE shout out in celebration of their BRILLIANCE and to wish them heaps of LUCK from one girl on a mission to another.

Lucinda is attempting her first ever Triathlon this weekend (racing her Dad!!) at Hever Castle.  How amazing is this??? Lucinda you are going to be just brill and no, you won't forget to put something on under your wetsuit!! Plus if you do - everyone's gonna be looking at the view, so they'll never notice!

This weekend is also a big first for Jen, who is running her first ever 1/2 Marathon at Run to the Beat- total WOWzers. Particularly as she's really, REALLY, REALLY fed up of running now - this in itself shows how much hard work this girl's put in.  Have to say that your boyf is going to really have his work cut out to beat you.  Good Luck lovely  - apparently "music lowers your perception of effort" so it's going to be a total breeze - Just think poor old Lucinda won't have any music to spur her on as she's tri's round her course in the buff!!xx

Thirdly Totally Terrific Trish is already powering ahead mentally and has her next events post CC booked.  You didn't misread that's plural events and even more staggering they are both happening over the same weekend. CRAZY. The first is an adventure Tri - i.e. involves kyacking rather than swimming.  The following day, TTT is getting a team together for an event known as the Hell Run - methinks I'm already fully booked that day!!! They don't even put mile markers out for this Hellish race - which is somewhere between 10-12 miles long and warn that although NO swimming is involved - as a precaution the ability to swim is a useful failsafe. WTF. This makes CC look ridiculously tame!!

My next two sources of inspiration are old acquaintences from my school days who I saw this week for the first time in EONS: The first is someone who I always remember as being way "too cool for skool" mainly as I was constantly having to interrupt her love life to negotiate some stairway or another so, nerd that I still am, could get to class. She is still too cool and still completely LOVED UP!! {somethings never change!!}But more importantly despite still recovering from knee surgery, she has already signed herself up for her first ever 1/2 marathon in Brentwood in March 2011. I'm apparently welcome to join her. Still *thinking* it over, lovely - your comment about finishing on the mother of all hills is clearly winning me over, no problemo!!

The second school friend is actually one of the most resounding inspirations of the week, as it reminded me that a fitness challenge can me as small or grand as you want it to be; it doesn't make it any less momentous.  The Bananas' current fitness goal is to run 5km in under 30 minutes. So simple. So perfect. Really just how I remember the Banana.

The two remaining inspirations are two of my compadres from BoxFit Boot Camp. One is just starting out on her get fit mission after finishing studying for her finals -just turning up for the next session and the next is her primary goal.  No mean feat considering the extraordinary amount of crawling we seem to do or the very l'eau de cheesy feet boxing gloves we use.  Even I feel faint most of the time! My second inspiring compadre is also a fellow SuperChick whose goal is to add some SuperChick classes to the Bootcamp schedule during week three of BoxFit BootCamp - yay Diane!

I LOVE hearing peoples' get fit mission goals, almost as much as I LOVE reading those amazing weight loss stories - fills me with hope and pride and crucially reminds me to "do something".

p.s. I should also mention that Jade has been "Going for Gold" for the last two weeks and today succeeded in getting her Gold Medal for two complete weeks of SuperChick Boot Camp (the girl even got up for the 7am class on her day off work!!!). Well Done Jade - totally deserved.  xxx

Oh george!

Hello my gorgeous followers!
earlier on in the week a saw an advert for Asda's George range - they were (and i think still are) having a sale on jeggings and jeans. of course i popped on over to the website, and had a little peek. i needed to get some more jeggings, as well as some more leggings so i thought it was worth a look. it definitely was!

'ruched' leggings

£6.00 £3.00!!
so, on the website these are described as 'ruched' but in the photo i couldn't see any ruching, so i ordered anyway and there is some ruching but it's not very noticeable unless your looking closley at the bottom of the side of the leggings (why would you?). i was hoping the ruching wouldn't be too out there, and it's not. i've tried to capture it in the second photo. they're thick which is nice, so there's no underwear peaking out from underneath!

'soft bleached' jeggings

£10.00 £3.75!
these were over half price! i was pretty impressed when they came, because they are very nice quality. they aren't the jersey type jeggings, they are the 'denim' ones. they fit really nicely, and you barely even realise you're wearing anything at all!

i can't remember exactly how much the delivery was but i remember my total was about £10 so it was about £3-ish. so i got these for basically £5 each.

i know they're pretty basic, but i thought i'd share with you the george sale if you hadn't yet heard about it.

I usually despise applying my foundation with my fingers... i always thought it didn't cover blemishes, looked streaky and just never seemed to work for me! But recently i gave it another try and i'm liking it a lot - the finish is a hell of a lot more natural and blends in with the skin better. Loving it!

On another note, i've always loved big hair but lately i've been sporting it as my go-to. I just roll out of bed, backcomb and i'm good to go ;)

Have you rediscovered anything?
